The Story of a Family, and of their Common Passion
In 1936, Albertine Fourel bought the business and married Francis Trihan. Their union brought them 2 children, Nicole and Michel, who grew up in the hotel and helped their parents over the years.
In 1959, Nicole married a local man, Michel Bertonnière, a cook in the merchant navy. They set up in this house, which went on to prosper and retain a loyal, family clientele. Joy and happiness came in the form of Anaïck and Rozenn, who were born in the early 1960s.
Since the 1980, when the loss of Michel left a large void, Anaïck has taken over cooking duties from her dad, and Rozenn has been helping her mum in the restaurant.
In 1982, Anaïck married Norbert Gaudiche and the family was blessed with 2 daughters: Tiphaine and Marine. Together with Rozenn, this couple brings just the right spark and support that grace the house, which is well known to its loyal customers who stretch back several generations and who like its location near to the beach and Saint-Malo Bay.
In 2003, Nicole's children and Anaïck and Norbert, with the help of Tiphaine, took over the helm, and we hope that this home will continue to bring you satisfaction, and happiness to all.
